Eliza Manningham-Buller, the director general of MI5, warned recently that there were more than 1,600 "identified individuals" actively engaged in plotting terrorist attacks. There were 200 known networks involved in at least 30 terrorist plots. It is thought that the number of British citizens involved in plots could be well in excess of 2,000.(Hat-tip: Little Green Footballs)
These figures represent over 0.1% of the total Muslim population of Britain. While this may seem small, it should be remembered that these are people actively planning to murder their fellow citizens. Imagine the (justified) outcry if it was shown that 60,000+ white Britons were actively planning racist murders.
Plus, behind every active plotter, there are many more encouraging them, or who would like to be doing the same, or who would delight in the success of any plot that came to fruition. And behind them, many, many, more supporting essentially the same aims as the plotters, even if they do not necessarily support their means. 0.1% doesn't seem so insignificant now, does it?
The problem is that the Dhimmis on the left (and some on the right) will continue to stick their heads in the sand, and assert that all is well. All is not well. It is inevitable that there will be more terrorist murders. We need action against Islam now. Even if we don't ban it outright, and there is much to be said for that approach, we at least need to make the practice of Islam in Britain difficult. To refer back to a previous post, banning the burka would be a good start.

There are a lot of differences between "Muslim communities" and other ethnic minority communities. One glaringly obvious one is that Islamic culture produces nothing of interest to the majority non-Muslim population either in Britain or the wider world.
While Chinese, Jewish, Hindu and Sikh Indian and other minority groups can take considerable pride in the admiration lavished upon their past and present cultural achievements - in the arts, cinema, the sciences, music etc - Muslim youths have scarcely anything to feel proud about.
The problem of disaffection begins with the simple fact that Muslims come from a culture that has been largely barren for the past 500 years and which, in recent times, has won the world's attention only for its belligerence and violence.
There's no answer to this; the problem is one of a fundamental cultural bankruptcy and humiliation that manifests in extremism wherever it encounters richer, more creative cultures - be they Western, Indian, Thai, or whatever.

It is what I have always said too; it is about ENVY. One of the great sins of our time in fact. And what does envy lead to....? revenge, as always.
I hope this country has a massive counter-punch for this....but I think old GB has stepped out of the ring!
