The Ladder of Victimhood (2)

While the homosexuals and the disabled are fighting it out for the middling rungs, there is no doubt who remains firmly ensconced at the top, as the Most Oppressed Group in Human History (TM). That's right: it's the followers of the Religion of Peace!
A city high-flier has launched a racism claim against a leading British insurer after being welcomed to the office as "Guantanamo detainee 948".

Anwar Khan, 24 - who shares his name with an Afghan at the US detention camp - said he suffered one of the most distressing episodes of his life at Royal & SunAlliance. He has launched grievance proceedings against it.

Mr Khan, from central London, said he was sent an email with a link to the Wikipedia page for detainee 948.

He added: "On 18 September I was welcomed into the office ... with a colleague from a different team shouting, 'So they have released you from Guantanamo Bay.' I was shocked and speechless. How do you respond to something like this?"
I don't know. Laugh, perhaps? Make some sort of joke about the bomb in your rucksack/briefcase?

I would suggest that if Mr Khan is going to do anything other than throw endless tantrums and storm out of every company he works for, then he is probably going to have to learn that in an office environment, as in just about every other closed environment, people like to make jokes (albeit not necessarily very funny ones). And if one shares a name with someone who is either famous or notorious, then that is probably going to provide a rich vein of inspiration for at least some of your colleagues. And this has nothing to do with whether one is or is not a Muslim: I'd guess that if one were called George Bush, one would come in for a bit of a ribbing as well. But most adults are sufficiently mature to be able to deal with that in a manner which does not involve screaming like a two year-old and suing people. Sadly, Anwar Khan - in common, it seems, with a great many Muslims - appears to lack that emotional maturity.

Well, it could be said that Mr Khan is simply setting foot on the well-trodden path created by all those high-flying female executives who have a fit of the vapours and run to their lawyers the first time they glimpse a 'Playboy' calendar on their male colleague's desk...

A plague on both their houses. Has no one told these companies the story of the scorpion and the frog ? But no, they think they can gain short-term advantage by treating with the Islamopaths, then cast themselves as victims when they themselves become the target of those they have enabled.
