Paedophile has sentenced increased

Back in August I wrote about Michael Porter, the man who, after pleading guilty to twenty-five counts of indecent assault and gross indecency, was sentenced to just three years of community rehabilitation.

Well, I am now pleased to be able to report that, after the case was referred to the Court of Appeal by the Attorney-General, the sentence was increased to an eighteen-month prison term. Still not very much for a man who committed crimes against numerous victims, one only eighteen months old, over a period of fourteen years, but at least it's a slight improvement.

Agreed good news, but sadly Mr Langham has been let out early.

It appears that there is one rule for ordinary child abusers and another for celeb child abusers.

Yes, I did notice that Langham was out, and I must say that that does put a slight damper on the news of Porter's imprisonment. But, since Langham was "only" looking at child pornography, while Porter was actually abusing children, I would say that Porter in Langham out is still a marginal improvement.

Good news but 18 months is not long enough. Nick Griffin was facing 7 years simply for expressing himself, there is something drastically wrong with this country!
